Well, I did it again. I have given both of our boys their first haircuts, and both have ended up pretty far from my original aim. With Theo, I’d hoped to just give his forelock a little trim to keep it out of his eyes, but I didn’t feel quite ready to cut off all of his cute baby hair. Now he has a pretty girlie mullet. Oops.!

Our Christmas came a day early this year as Pat had work on Christmas Day. Here’s our last little celebration in this little home before the big move across town in just a month.
Piles of projects finally being completed and wrapped.

A peaceful, late night image, hours before Christmas.

And the morning, after the kids let us sleep in and we got to wake them up for a change.

This has been the coldest chunk of snowbound weather we’ve had in a couple of years and I’m thoroughly loving it. Snowmen, candles, wet and whiney kids, icicles, java logs in the fireplace, slippery midnight drives, snowball fights, reprieve from every bothersome outing, I just love it.
We played a Christmas party show the other night during what turned out to be the very worst snow storm yet. It was a recipe for disaster: Other band canceling, freaky cold, terrible road conditions, dumping snow. Around 15 minutes before our start time our brave friends and fans began pouring in and didn’t stop till the bar was comfortably packed. It was pretty magical and I was left feeling encouraged about how our music is going.
I doubt I’ll be back to post before the BIG DAY, so, here are some quick shots of some snow play in the back yard. Merry Christmas to all of you.

I know, I could be posting more. December is flying by in a rush of lights, snow, gift making, and cheer. And, with a broken camera and a pile of projects to complete (and some to start) by Christmas Eve, I haven’t felt much inclined to write. Here’s a quick picture of the boys with Capn’ Clause down on the Tacoma waterfront.

I do. Seven months pregnant with Theo, staying at little place on the beach in Westport, a year and a half ago. Feels like longer.

That Theo is getting huge. No longer baby and boy, he and Titus have reached the age of swapping clothes and playing at the same games at the same time. That’s all for now.
